JP and Carrie Johnson, owners ofKlassy Glass Wine Bar & Bistro, and Brian their unofficial son took some time to speak with Chip McCarter about how their business is doing with our current economic issues. Mr. and Mrs. Johnson bought this business about 4 years ago and have loved it since. Since the "stay at home" orders have been issued the Johnson's and Brian have had to deal with letting employees go that have been their awhile, cancel the live music they have each week, reschedule parties, and try to adapt to this current way of running business.
Being that they have a retail license, they can still sell things like, beer, wine, menu items, and Art. Klassy Glass also started doing delivery's. They will deliver you meal and wine or beer. They had takeout before and are still keeping that going, so no worries on that part. Delivery's are currently from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m, Monday to Saturday. I mentioned live music and art earlier. Several nights a week they have Open Mic Night by Keep Waco Loud. Keep Waco Loud has local music, poetry reading, dancing, and any other talent that you would like to showcase. Currently they are doing this virtually and can be found on Facebook @keepwacoloud. As for the art, Klassy Glass has teamed up with Rebekah Hagman of Cultivate 7twelve to showcase some of the art at Klassy Glass. The art is for sale and the prices benefit local artist. In the closing of this interview, the Johnson's and Brian each had some words of encouragement. Be sure to watch the whole interview so you don't miss out on everything they had to say including their specials and upcoming events. 723 Austin Ave Waco, Texas 76701 254-752-1808 Klassy Glass Wine Bar & Bistro
